Scrum Alliance® certification course · live online
Take the Certified ScrumMaster® course from wherever you work and earn the same CSM® a classroom student earns. I teach every online class live, in a small group, with cameras on and a lot of conversation, so it feels like a workshop rather than a webinar.

Each date shows whether it runs as two full days or four half days. Seats are limited to keep the class hands-on.
Every online CSM is taught live by me, and every class is small and interactive. You will not sit through videos on your own. We work through scrum together, split into small groups for the exercises, and practice running the events the way a scrum master has to run them: with real people, real interruptions, and a clock.
Public classes are scheduled in one of two patterns. Some run as two full days, which suits people who can clear their calendar and want to finish quickly. Others run as four half days, which suits people who need part of each day for their team. The schedule above tells you which pattern each date uses. Scrum Alliance requires the full course of instruction, so you attend every session.
The half-day pattern has a side benefit that surprises people. Between sessions you can try something with your own team, such as a better question in your next standup, and bring back what happened. The full-day pattern has its own: we build momentum, and by the second afternoon the room is facilitating each other.
When you register you get an account in the Wonder Portal, my student portal. It holds your class agenda, your meeting times, and the class materials. A Join button for the video link switches on 15 minutes before each meeting, so there is no hunting through email on the morning of class.
The portal also asks for the email address you use with Scrum Alliance. Please add it before class. I use it to submit your roster, and it is where Scrum Alliance sends your exam access and your membership. After the course you take the CSM exam online: 50 multiple-choice questions, one hour, 37 correct to pass, with two attempts inside 90 days.
Every start time is in Mountain time, the time in Denver. Mountain is two hours behind Eastern, one hour behind Central, and one hour ahead of Pacific, so a 9:00 a.m. Mountain start is 11:00 a.m. Eastern, 10:00 a.m. Central, and 8:00 a.m. Pacific. The portal shows meeting times in your own time zone once you are signed in.
If you are joining from Europe, Asia, or Australia, check the local start times before you register. In winter a 9:00 a.m. Mountain start is 4:00 p.m. in London. The half-day pattern is usually the easier fit across a large time difference, and you can ask me which dates work best for where you are.
The online class covers the same Scrum Alliance learning objectives as every CSM: why agile and scrum, the scrum team, the events, the artifacts and commitments, and the craft of the scrum master. For the full outline, how certification works, and private cohort pricing, see the Certified ScrumMaster course page.
Yes. Scrum Alliance issues the same Certified ScrumMaster credential, the same exam access, and the same two-year membership whether you attend online or in person. The difference is the room, not the certificate.
Choose by your calendar. Two full days finish quickly and keep momentum. Four half days leave part of each day free for your team and give you time to try ideas between sessions. The content and the requirements are the same.
Yes. The exercises depend on seeing each other, and small groups work better when everyone is visible. If you have a real obstacle, tell me before class and we will work out something that fits.
Scrum Alliance requires the full course of instruction, so contact me as soon as you know. I will help you find the matching sessions in another class where I can.
Yes. I teach private online cohorts for groups of 8 to 20, with examples tailored to your organization. Request one from the CSM course page.
