Scrum Alliance® microcredential · live online
Get a whole group to the same understanding of agile without anyone traveling. This live online Agile Essentials class is taught by me in shorter sessions, with exercises you do together on a shared board, and everyone who takes part earns the Scrum Alliance microcredential.

Seats are limited to keep the class hands-on. Private online cohorts can choose their own schedule.
Public online classes are split into shorter live sessions on separate days, usually with a day or two between them. The pause is deliberate. You hear about continuous improvement in the second session after you have spent a day noticing what slows your own team down, and the exercises land harder because you have something real to point at.
Inside each session the pattern is short teaching, then an exercise in small groups, then a debrief with the whole room. You write a user story from a real scenario, argue about priorities on a value and effort matrix, and choose measures for a team that is not yours before you choose them for one that is. Because agile acumen is wanted across all roles, I keep the rooms mixed, and people from non-software functions are the norm.
A private online cohort can choose its own shape: two half days, two evenings, or a single day with longer practice on your own work.
After you register you sign in to the Wonder Portal, where you find the class agenda, your session times, and the materials. The Join button for the video link switches on 15 minutes before each meeting. The class introductions page lets everyone say who they are and what they hope to change before we meet, which makes the first exercise faster.
Please add the email address you use with Scrum Alliance in your portal profile before class. That is where the digital Agile Essentials badge is sent, and it is how your two-year membership is set up.
Start times are in Mountain time. A 10:00 a.m. Mountain start is noon Eastern, 11:00 a.m. Central, and 9:00 a.m. Pacific, so most of North America can join during a normal working morning. If your team spans several time zones, tell me where people are when you ask about a private cohort, and I will pick sessions that work for most of the group.
The portal shows meeting times in your own time zone once you sign in, which helps when part of the room is outside the United States.
