Scrum Alliance® certification course · in person
Take the Certified ScrumMaster® course in person in the Denver area, in an open class when one is scheduled or as a private cohort at your office. You learn scrum in a room with other people working through the same problems, with me next to you for the practice.

In-person classes are small so the practice stays hands-on. If no date works, ask for one.
Each open in-person class lists its venue and start time with the date, and I send entry and parking details in the joining email. Some in-person dates are offered through a partner college or training organization, and those dates link to the partner's registration page.
People come from across the Denver metro and the west suburbs. A typical room has a few project managers who inherited scrum, an engineer or two thinking about the next step, a business analyst, a product owner who wants to see the whole framework, and a manager who wants to know what their teams are being asked to do.
Some come from Denver and Aurora for the pairing of a shorter commute with a real classroom. Others come from Lakewood, Arvada, and Evergreen because it is the closest in-person CSM they can find. Because the class is small, every one of those backgrounds ends up helping the others in the exercises.
If you have a team to certify, I can teach the course at your office anywhere in the Denver metro, whether that is downtown Denver, Aurora, Lakewood, Arvada, or the tech corridor. I bring everything, set the schedule around your team, and run the exercises on scenarios you actually face. Private cohorts are for groups of 8 to 20, and flat cohort pricing typically runs $6,000–$8,000, so the cost per person drops as the group grows.
Online works well, and I teach it often. A room still does some things better. People talk during the break, see each other's whiteboard drawings, and pick up the small cues that tell a facilitator the room is lost. If you are going to be the person who runs a team's events, practicing in front of real people in the same space is the closest you can get to the job before you have it.
The in-person class covers the same Scrum Alliance learning objectives as every CSM, from why agile and scrum through the events, the artifacts, and the craft of the scrum master. For the full outline and how certification works, see the Certified ScrumMaster course page, or take it live online.
